Do you release the throttle when changing gears on a Motorcycle?
As stated in several previous answers you “roll off” the throttle you do not simply release it because you are likely to encounter a jerkey gear change instead of a nice smooth up shift. I always blip the throttle on the down change, again this makes for a nice smooth down change rather than you lurching forward when you release the clutch. The one golden rule I have found in my years of biking is “practice makes perfect”, but remember to restrict practice sessions to quieter roads.
