Change and oil change GZ250 Questions?
Hi, I have 2003 Suzuki GZ250 past two months. I rode about 1500 miles on the matter. I've done oil change on my car regularly, but when it comes to changing oil motorcycle, never did. The oil was dirty, so I thought of changing oil and filter. I went to Advance Auto Parts store to find the oil filter and oil. The closest I found was "250CC-GS250 (1980-1981)" in the oil and filter FRAM CH6000 10W40 is. Can anyone tell me is that Fram Oil Filter CH6000 is good for GZ250? And what about oil 10W40, 10W40, says the manual suggestions about it? Please let me know is there a website online, you can order oil filters and filter model is? (I for 60 miles north Atlanta, GA. All shops in this area?) Another question is, sometimes when I move up, I feel like I'm stuck and close up, does anyone have this problem? Is 10W40 oil has an impact on how the gear system? Is not there a better oil?
A Suzuki GS250 was a twin 250cc engine is GN250 early 80s like yours. I do not think there is a replaceable oil filter NG / GZ model, but a metal strainer? If so, you clean it with gasoline. I can use a motorcycle engine oil specific. These small engines are not much, and if you spend $ 10 on the oil every 3,000 miles, will last a long time. I normally I use a 20W-50 oil in all air-cooled engines. If your problem persists after replacing oil lag, first check the clutch free play. If this is correct, you can stick the forks bent. Best brush in the service manual.
